This video was part of the NY Times serial feature, Outlaw Ocean, by journalist Ian Urbina. The multimedia presentation won awards from the 2016 NPPA, SOPA, and Edward R. Murrow competitions. The footage was initially shot as part of a feature documentary by Producer Shannon Service with Director Jeffrey Waldron.
